Gismondi on Wine, July 2004, Tony Gismondi, Canada’s top wine writer reviewed the 2000 Dyer Cabernet Sauvignon "…The wine opens with a peppery, spicy, licorice root and blackberry fruit nose mixed with cinnamon and saddle leather notes. Rich, round, intense and dry it has big mountain blackberry, peppery, spicy, licorice, black olive flavours with a cardamom, vanilla, chocolate finish. Warm full and well balanced it will improve even more 2 to 4 more years in bottle." Tasted 7/4/04 90pts
For quite awhile, now, we’ve been meaning to review all the vintages of Dyer Vineyards Cabernet – we’re amazed to realize there are fifteen vintages now (seventeen if you count the two in barrels!) But, we just hadn’t gotten to it.
